A Send-off Ceremony for Dispatched Nurses to Okinawa is held
On Tuesday, January 11, a Send-off Ceremony for Dispatched Nurses to Okinawa was held at the University Hospital.
Since the beginning of the year, positive cases of the Omicron strain of COVID 19 have been confirmed in Yamanashi Prefecture and the number of infected people has been increasing rapidly.
Due to the current situation that the Omicron strain of COVID 19 has been confirmed nationwide, especially in Okinawa, the number of infected people has exploded, and the healthcare system has collapsed.
In response to a request from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), we have dispatched 12 nurses to Osaka and 2 nurses to Okinawa so far, and this time we plan to dispatch Tetsuya Yamanaka, a nurse to Okinawa where there is a serious shortage of healthcare system.
President Shinji Shimada said,” He was brave enough to volunteer to be sent to Okinawa. I hope his future activities in Okinawa.”
Mr.Yamanaka is scheduled to spend two weeks at the Urasoe General Hospital caring for infected patients.
