Paper by Prof. Miyatake and his colleagues was selected to be featured on the front cover of the journal.
A paper by Prof. Kenji Miyatake et al. of Clean Energy Research Center and Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Nanomaterials Center, “Boosting the hydrogen evolution reaction catalytic activity of Pt/C via well-designed anion-exchange ionomers”, published in Chemical Communications by Royal Society of Chemistry, was selected to be featured on the front cover of the journal.
In this paper, sed ionomers containing cyclic and rigid structures were designed to enhance ion conductivity and free volume, thereby promoting rapid mass transport and improved reaction kinetics for the alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction.
Prof. Miyatake commented that the findings are expected to contribute to high performance electrochemical devices producing hydrogen and that they will continue their research endeavor.
